Hindustan Furnace (P)Ltd. has its own manufacturing unit at Viyoor, adjacent to Thrissur. The factory is barely 10 minutes drive from the heart of Thrissur. The manufacturing process involves the latest state-of-the-art technology. There are three distinct sections in the factory.

Firstly the Refractory section – where all the refractory bricks, insulation materials, etc are manufactured. All the elements from this stage are nurtured into fine products of equal shape and weight which are then send to the mechanical section for assembly.

Secondly the Mechanical section - which covers the manufacturing and assembly of furnace crucibles. Starting from the coiling of high conductivity copper tubes into induction furnaces coils, assembling of yokes, top casting and bottom casting up to the final assembly of the crucible - all operation are completed in this section. This section is manned only by qualified engineers. The Furnace Crucibles are dispatched in fully assembled and ready-to-use conditions. Finally, there is the Electrical and Electronics section which carries out the assembly of Solid State Power Panels, LT panels, etc. Vastly experienced and qualified experts are involved in fitting and wiring of the solid state panels, control panels. Special attention is devoted by engineers to the critical areas of panel wiring as well as stack assembling of thyristors and diodes.
